Hands-on Training workshop on
Mobile Application Development using MIT App Inventor
MIT App Inventor is a user-friendly, visual programming environment that makes it possible for anybody, including kids, to create fully working apps for smartphones and tablets. Additionally, their blocks-based tool speeds up the development of complicated, high-impact apps compared to conventional programming environments. The MIT App Inventor initiative aims to increase accessibility to software development by empowering everyone, especially young people, to go from consuming technology to producing it.
Objective of the Training

Apps_trainer’s Profile
M. Hassan Aslam is an Electrical Engineer and teacher by profession. He attended his school and college at PAF College Lower Topa, Murree, Pakistan. After college, Hassan received his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with distinction from COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Lahore Campus, Lahore, Pakistan. He is currently serving in his alma mater, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His major areas of interest are embedded systems, reconfigurable systems, memristor applications, and digital image processing.
He has an excellent reputation in teaching as well as research. He is proficient in creative presentation delivery, learning student needs, and evaluating students’ progress. Hassan has good experience in supervising research, hardware, and software-based projects at the bachelor level. He is an expert in many computer applications/programs including MS Office and LATEX. He has expertise in Outcome Based Education-based Self-Assessment Report preparation.
Eligibility Criteria
1st-year undergraduate students of the university from any department can attend this workshop.
